B’Churrasco opens in Adelaide

What is Churrasco? It’s a South American dish of steak barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire. Sounds good so far right? Well the Melbourne restaurant B’Churrasco has expanded and opened it’s first store in Adelaide and Tempting Palates was invited to the launch to try some BBQ’d meat, meat and more meat!

Located at the former Irish Pub PJ O’Briens, owner Jack Poon has transformed this historical site into a classy, modern and casual Brazilian eatery. Add to the mix Head Chef Arthur Santos who worked in the Melbourne premises before relocated to Adelaide and it’s a guaranteed smooth running for the opening. And it was!

We were treated to 6 courses of BBQ’d meat of Chicken, Pork, Beef and Lamb. All meat is sourced from local producers in South Australia, so quality is important to the B’Churrasco concept. The meat is prepared the Brazilian way which consists of seasoning with rock salt, so the flavours of the meat can be the main taste sensation and then marinated in authentic Brazilian flavours.

The meat was tender and flavoursome. Our favourites and overall consensus at our table was the Chicken Thighs. The chicken was juicy and tender and full of Brazilian spice. We did reach out for seconds and thirds! The novelty of having the passadors carve the meat at your table was fun and exciting adding to the Brazilian theme and atmosphere.

This was one event we were exciting about attending and we weren’t disappointed. For anyone who loves their meat then it’s worth booking a table with a group of friends. The price is great value at $45 per person on Wednesdays and Thursdays while on Friday, Saturday and Sundays it’s $69.00 per person. This includes an unlimited selection of 12 meats, poultry, sausage and sauces Charcoal Grilled BBQ Meats, Salads and Sides. Drinks are not included but a great range available including the refreshing Brazilian Caipirinha.

B’Churrasco is a perfect addition to the East Tce area. We were really impressed with the concept, the service and the quality of food. Most on our table were planning to revisit with family, friends and partners so that’s a great sign of approval. Definitely put B’Churrasco on your list of restaurants to visit!
