source Many of us that remember the good old days of Heaven, then HQ were sad to see that the club was forced to close its doors due to the new Royal Adelaide Hospital opening on North Tce but now we can all rejoice. The HQ Complex has relocated to 149 Hindley St in the CBD and it's bigger and better than ever! Tempting Palates was invited to the launch were we saw the impressive 3 level complex.
The Hindley is the ground level restaurant and bar area open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night take out. Head Chef, Shane Piercy, promises to deliver a mix of classic pub favourites alongside modern inspired dishes. “People can expect to enjoy contemporary Australian food including wood fired pizzas, pub classics, steaks and restaurant quality dishes, as well as on-the-go food such as slow cooked meats and daily salads during the week,” says Shane.
Head upstairs to find HQ - the club where you can dance to the wee hours of the night or catch a live band such as local band The Butterfly Effect. It also features a main room with an Al fresco balcony access overlooking Hindley Street and designated VIP areas on the mezzanine wings. The third floor can be opened up as part of the main room or closed off with sound proof walls that can cater to small or large private functions for up to 400 guests. “We want HQ and The Hindley to be suitable for all demographics and occasions. We now have the ability to trade seven nights a week and we will be showcasing the versatility of the space with entertainment every night of the week,” says HQ Director Stephen Rose.
Adelaide has been missing a complex such as this since the original location was closed but luckily for all party people HQ Complex is back and it was worth the wait.
