Maid for Summer at the Maid Hotel

On a sunny Saturday afternoon we were invited to taste the new summer menu and cocktails at the Maid Hotel in Magill. We were seated in the outside area which was really inviting and made us feel like we were in the middle of summer hanging out in a nice outdoor bar.

The Maid for Summer menu has a wonderful selection of dishes to choose from and we got to try a few of them on the day. The Hendricks Cured Tasmanian Salmon had a really refreshing taste that would be great on a hot summers day. We especially liked the addition of the horseradish which added a little punch to this dish.

The Paroo Kangaroo Fillet was nice and juicy and the pepper sour cream and duck fat roasted kipfler potatoes really lifted this dish in flavour.

Some of the other dishes available are the Arancini Balls and the Vietnamese Pork Belly.

Don’t stop at the food though as the cocktails were all delicious and made to perfection by the bartenders on the day.

The Maid is a great place to hang out on a sunny afternoon and enjoy a few (too many) cocktails and a bite to eat with your loved ones or perhaps just a good excuse to get away from the mad Christmas shoppers for a little while…!
