Sit Lo

Sit Lo at 30 Bank St, Adelaide has been on our radar for a long time. Seeing all those amazing photos from fellow instagram accounts it was hard to resist in paying a visit. Its a cute and quirky place. We automatically loved the ambience when we walked in.

On the menu are a list of Traditional Vietnamese food with a Western touch like Baos (Steam Buns), Noodles, Pho, Banh Mi, Cold Rolls and a few side dishes. On this occasion (we say "this occasion" as we will return!) we ordered the Baos (Steam Buns).

We ordered the Slow Cooked Barossa Valley Pork Belly, Pickled Cucumber, Hoisin and Scallions, the Panko Crumbed Fried Chicken, Pickled Cucumber, Chilli Mayo, Coriander and Scallions and lastly the side dish of Sit Lo Bites.

The Pork Belly steam buns were delicious. The tender pork strip in between the soft bun was an absolute treat with the flavours of the pickled cucumber and hoisin sauce. 

The Panko Chicken steam buns were our favourite. We are suckers for Panko crumbs and the crunchy textures were so delicious on the soft bun and with the pickled cucumber and the zing of the chilli mayo. We ordered two but we really were tempted to go back to the counter and order two more!

The Sit Lo Bites are bite size chicken, prawn and crab meat spring rolls. These were also a great alternative to the boring spring rolls of most places. The combination of chicken, prawn and crab meat was a great mix and along with the spicy sauce it was just perfect!

We also tried the Lychee Crush drink. This was a lovely cold lychee delight. Very refreshing especially if you love the flavour of lychee.

All up Sit Lo is a great place for a quick bite to eat. The service was fast and friendly and along with great food we couldn't help but be impressed. We will definitely go back to try the other menu options.
