Assaggio Ristorante

“Exceeded my expectations” was the expression from one of our members and it perfectly describes Assaggio Restaurant, 92-94 King William Road, Hyde Park. It was hard to fault this dining experience and the food was perfect for the palate. The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was very tasty and succulent, the char-grilled squid with a hint of sweetness was cooked to perfection . To finish it off we indulged on the dessert tasting plate that was beautifully presented! The service was exceptionally professional and attentive.  The availability of gluten free dishes was also impressive with the seafood pasta being the stand-out. The group was pleasantly impressed by Assaggio as most of us went into this experience with no expectations at all.

Grilled loin of Atlantic Salmon with pancetta, spinach, pine nuts, pea pesto with a tomato and white balsamic glaze.
Gluten free prawn pasta.
Balsamic roasted duck breast.
Mixed Tasting Platter consisting of  Calamari, Zucchini Flowers, Arancini Balls and Grilled Prawns wrapped in pancetta.
